His parents were german origins In 1825 he completed his studies at the Imperial and Royal Polytechnic Institute in Paris In 1840: the University of Munich 1841 study trip to Italy On November 30, 1841, he opened the Architectural Institute with Ágoston Pollack

Lipótvárosi Szent István Bazilika (St. Stephen's Basilica in Lipótváros) 1851: works begun with József Hilder's leading -> After his death Miklós Ybl conucted the contruction-> After his death the building was completed by József Kauser in 1905

Ybl made new plans for reconstruction-> not only structurally , he gave a new look to the building Construction of badly built parts lasted until 1871 After his death, his works are completed according to his plans It was so long built that it was said: ‚You will give your debt when the Basilica is ready’ The Basilica is one of the largest churches in Europe The Basilica’s bells are 9 tons

Károlyi Alajos Palotája (Alajos Károlyi’s Palace)
Lajos Károlyi commissioned Ybl, he started design it in 1863 One of Budapest's most beautiful palaces From 1920 to World War II he was hired by the Italian Embassy Now it is one of the hardly used buildings of the Hungarian radio

In 1869, they proposed to prepare a fountain in front of a new branch office of thenFirst Natoinal Saving Bank on Kalvin Square From the design to the realization, 15 years have passed: it was handed over in October 1883 The transport of the fountain's pieces was carried out by specially designed wagons The most heavy part of the fountain is the basin (stone) of the pool (100 tons) Four women represent four rivers (Danube, Tisza, Dráva, Száva) In 1959, it was moved to the Erzsébet Square becouse of the constuction of the subway on the Kalvin Square
