2 The EU Structural Funds in Hungary

3 Civil society and the preparation of National Development Plan
Well coordinated NGO lobbying during the planning period of the National Development Plan CNNy (NGOs for the publicity of the National Development Plan) as an informal cooperation brought together NGOs from different fields (social, environmental, community development, cultural etc.) This lobby-work aimed (among others) to ensure the availability of ESF money in Hungary for NGOs „Hálózat és részvétel” – a szegénységben élők hatékony érdekképviseletéért TÁMOP /

4 Some bad experiences NGOs have some very bad experiences related to the implementation projects from ESF! Too much bureaucracy Less available for small NGOs Problems with the contracts and the payments As a result: Some NGOs became bankrupt There is a fear that there won’t be enough application to the calls to be opened e.g. on community development etc. „Hálózat és részvétel” – a szegénységben élők hatékony érdekképviseletéért TÁMOP /
