3 Célok OBJECTIVES Tevékenységek ACTIVITES Regionális együttműködés Regional cooperation Nemzeti tervezési folyamat National planning processes Demonstrációs projektek Demonstration projects Kapacitás fejlesztés Capacity Development Tudás és tudatosság Knowledge and awareness Partnerség és Fenntarthatóság Partnership and sustainability Increase the capacity of the CEE region to adapt to climatic variability by enhancing resilience to drought. - Develop understanding and knowledge, and promote state-of-the-art technology, through documentation, consultative workshops, dialogues and networking for integrated drought management. - Map and assess the impact of droughts, promote the adaptation of best practices, incorporate risk mitigation/reduction, and develop drought policies based on scientific knowledge. - Initiate case studies of pilot basins involving local communities. - Facilitate the capacity of national governments to incorporate assessments on drought management into their national programs and policies. - Synthesize country findings and develop regional drought policy, a monitoring framework, and a regional drought management platform. - Raise awareness about severe drought conditions through efficient dissemination mechanisms, such as a learning platform, training and workshops/seminars.

8 WP2: National planning process

9 Act. 2.2: National Consultation Dialogues (NCDs)
identification of the national key partners  dealing with or being responsible for drought management issues general information on the programme discussion on the questionnaire (act. 1.2) introduction  of the act. 2.1 “Guidelines for Drought Management Plan”  The main objective of these actions was to assemble experts from the different institutions dealing with drought and open the expert discussion on this topic. In each country the participants were informed about the on-going and future activities within IDMP. The main item of the programme was discussion on the current drought situation in the country in connection with the questions included in the questionnaire. In conclusions the next steps for continuation of the national dialogue were outlined. Also some useful ideas and recommendations for the development of the Guidelines were provided (e.g. terminology, legislation, risk assessment).

10 Final Outputs to have the same form, structure, easier for review
max 30 pages to easier include into the Good Practice Compendium, GWP Toolbox, etc.
