Példa Az ügyfél egy desktopon Office 2007 Standardot használ. Kompatibilitási okok miatt Office 2003-at is kell használnia, ezt alkalmazás-virtualizációval oldották meg. Néha egyidőben fut Excel 2007 és Excel 2003 is. Hány Office licence-re van szükség? Megoldás: Az Office „per device” licencelődik és downgrade jog is van rá, ezért egy licence kell. Az ügyfél 100 vékonykliensről, terminál szerveren keresztül RemoteApp hozzáféréssel Office 2003-at használ. A felhasználókat összesen 4 terminál szerver szolgálja ki. Hány Office licence-re van szükség? Megoldás: Az Office „per device” licencelődik, ezért 100 licence kell. Az ügyfél 50 vékonykliensről egyidőben 80 virtuális gépet futtat VDI környezetben. Mindegyik VDI gépen van telepített Office 2007 és alkalmazás-virtualizációval Office 2003. Hány Office licence-re van szükség? Megoldás: Az Office „per device” licencelődik, ezért 50 licence kell.
